2010 Seaside Yoga Teacher Training

Seaside Yoga's 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training is registered through Yoga Alliance, and has been training teachers since 2002. We offer you a program that is comprehensive, yet flexible. Choose modules of study based on your specific desires and needs as a teacher. Begin at any time of the year, and take up to three years to complete your requirements of the curriculum. Along the way, our senior teachers and mentors will support you, and guide you forward in both your personal practice and the development of your professional path as a Yoga teacher.

The sincere focus on personal practice, reflection and life experience is what makes Seaside Yoga's Teacher Training programs unique. You will be guided into the heart of your being and learn to tap into your personal voice and style. As a developing teacher, you will be supported as you make your offering of Yoga back to the world. Seaside Yoga is dedicated to support you in the growth of your physical, mental and spiritual yoga practice.

In order to fulfill the completion of Yoga Alliance's standards for the 200 RYT course of study, you must accumulate 180 contact hours. At the heart of our program, we have designed The Art of Teaching Yoga, a 72 hour course, designed to give you tools and techniques for your personal practice, as well as teaching practice. At the completion of this module, you will feel confident of your abilities in beginning your service as a yoga teacher.

Once you have completed 180 hours of Seaside Yoga's curriculum, you will be given a take-home exam to be completed within 2 weeks, and turn in a teaching video that will be reviewed by the program director. Once you have passed both the written exam and video, you will complete a telephone exit interview with Ashley and be issued a teaching certification through Seaside Yoga. It will then be your choice and responsibility to apply for registration with Yoga Alliance, if you choose to do so.
