Jessica CooperJessica Cooper received her initial massage and bodywork education from the Body Therapy Institute in Chatham County North Carolina. Blending a foundational training of Swedish and Myofascial Release techniques together she has developed her own style that is as much creative arts as it is science. Deep physical and emotional release occurs with every session whether working with acute or chronic injury recovery or for a session of pure relaxation. Jessica is also in the process of graduate level academic studies at the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute in clinical psychology, specializing in pre and perinatal psychology. To bridge her passion for hands on therapy and the consciousness studies relating to fertility, pregnancy, birth, and infant-parent bonding she has received special training in fertility, prenatal, perinatal, post partum and infant massage and is a DONA trained birth doula in training. Massage sessions focusing on infant massage, pre and perinatal consultations, parent-infant relational coaching, and doula services can be combined with massage treatments for holistic care before, during, and after the birth of your child. Jessica is a pioneering specialist in her field of pre- and perinatal and infant development and offers a unique contribution for healthy relationships within oneself, between parents and for baby. Couples massage workshops are also available in private sessions that work with the individual preferences of each participant and teaches massage techniques to be used as an on-going, at home practice. Participants of past couples sessions feel their partner relationship is enriched through the workshop and the ongoing massages that are continued with the skills learned from the session. Massage instruction for couples and caregivers is provided in individual and group sessions. Jessica works with the specific needs and abilities of intimate partners to increase relational aspects of conscious touch, communication, and connection. Caregivers of children with special needs or of aging parents can benefit from learning basic touch techniques that support the most vital human need—touch. Learn to do this with a mindful presence and experience improvements in mind, body and spirit. Additional services that Jessica provides include:
