Involve yourself deeply in the study of the Self. You are invited to be a part of the self-study phase of Seaside Yoga's 2008 Teacher Training. Within the initial phase of the 200 hour training, all students will be supported to dive into a deeper level of understanding within the practice of Yoga. Weekend #1 Creating Intention
February 1-3, 2008

Experience the process of creating intention within your yoga practice, that can be carried through your daily life. In this weekend, you will be introduced to the philosophy and methodology of Anusara yoga and experience the relationship between attitude, alignment and action.

• Introduction to Anusara Yoga: Attitude, Alignment, Action
• Constructs of classical and tantric yoga philosophy
• The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali as philosophy and life practice
• Introduction to pranayama and meditation
• Full spectrum asana practices

Weekend #2 Co-creating Intention
February 23-24
Saturday 11am-6pm
Sunday 8am-3pm

Explore the pulsation of creating balanced action and understand the intricacies of muscle energy and organic energy within asana. Diving deeper into tantric philosophy, we will contemplate ways skillful alignment appear on and off the mat within the dance of the individual and universal.

Weekend #3 Embodying Intention
March 8-9, 2008

Take your practice a step deeper as we explore the intricate alignment of the pelvis within asana. As you find concious freedom within your body, watch your intention take form!

Access your deepest bliss as we journey into the subtle self and experience the essential nature within. Through practice and interaction, we will study the ancient teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, who's lessons of life are timeless.

Weekend #5 Expressing Intention

Tap into your inner child as we embody the lessons of ancient yoga stories and discover playfulness on the mat. When you stand in the radiance of your light, others will do the same!

• Yoga stories of Hanuman, Shiva Nataraj, Ganesh, Lakshmi
• Living practice on and off the mat
• How to create fun sequencing in your practice
• Chanting with the kula

Meet your teachers:
Ashley Ludman, OTR, ERYT is co-owner and director of Seaside Yoga. She has been leading yoga teacher trainings and retreats since 2002. Ashley has over 500 hours of study in Anusara Yoga, and was one of 50 teachers chosen by John Friend to study advanced therapeutics and adjustments in October, 2007. A registered occupational therapist since 1996, Ashley specializes in therapeutic yoga, as she supports students of all levels and abilities through individual teaching, . She shares with her students a deeper look into her practice of yoga on and off the mat through her new blog, www.yogash.wordpress.com. She hopes to use this forum as a teaching tool to supplement in-class experience and practice.

Rachael Crawford Goolsby loves sparking and deepening interest in yoga with whomever she comes into contact. Since 1990 she has experienced the gift of yoga and has been teaching consistently since 1999. Rachael is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, and enjoys the Anusara method because its founder, John Friend, has effectively chewed and digested many underlying truths of a yogin's path, offering a teaching style that connects heart-languaging with bio-mechanics. She is a licensed Massage Therapist, with focus in Thai Yoga Massage since 1993. She is a proud Momma of new baby Lily along with her husband Thom.
